Like many things, timing is everything. Here’s three reasons to list your Calumet City, Lansing, Lynwood or any Chicago area house for sale soon if you are thinking about it at all.

1. Spring is near and I think most people that live around here get motivated to get out and about as soon as the sun is out and the temps get above the 40′s or 50′s. Car sales go up and house sales too. when there’s snow on the ground you cant walk around the yard or inspect the outside of a house easily.

2. It’s tax time! ahhhh. The lucky ones get a return and a down payment on a house is a great way to use it. For many this is the only time they will have enough cash for a down payment on a home.

3. The $8000 home buyer tax credit will end April 30. Read details here. This home buyer tax credit is a hard to beat deal.

If your are thinking of selling at all within this year I recommend not to wait. Spring really is the time buyers are buying.
